Katherine Paterson's Bio:
Katherine Paterson spent four years as a missionary in Japan before beginning her work as a wife, mother, and writer. She has written, "The challenge for those of us who care about our faith and about a hurting world is to tell stories which will carry the words of grace and hope in their bones and sinews and not wear them like fancy dress." The author of the Newbery Medal-winning Bridge to Terabithia and Jacob Have I Loved, among many other wonderful books, she lives in Barre, Vermont.
François Roca is the illustrator of The Yellow Train, by Fred Bernard; Twenty-One Elephants and Still Standing, by April Jones Prince; and more than thirty other beautiful books that have been published around the world. He lives in Paris, France.
