Sharon Jaynes's Bio:
Sharon Jaynes is a gifted writer and speaker who uses her unique storytelling ability to inspire others to break free from the bondage of past hurts by allowing God, not their circumstances, to define who they are.
As vice president of radio for Proverbs 31 Ministries, she is cohost of daily segments that air on more than 950 stations internationally and a featured writer for The P31 Woman monthly magazine. A graduate of Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers Seminar (CLASS) and a CLASS instructor for those who feel called to the podium, she frequently presents a message of hope and healing at conferences, seminars, and womenís events.
Raised in a home of hostility and fear, Jaynes regularly shares her teenage journey toward understanding the difference between religion and a relationship with God. She explains how God took deep-seated feelings of inferiority, insecurity, and inadequacy and transformed them into an awareness of who she was in Christ. Though she suffered the trauma of witnessing verbal and physical abuse, God healed her emotional wounds and within five years of praying the sinnerís prayer, each of her parents also came to know Christ.
Jaynesí other books include Becoming a Woman Who Listens to God, Becoming the Woman of His Dreams, A Womanís Secret to a Balanced Life (Harvest House); Dreams of a Woman (Focus on the Family/Tyndale); Ultimate Makeover, Celebrating a Christ Centered Christmas, Being a Great Mom Raising Great Kids (Moody); and At Home with God (RiverOak). She was a contributing author to Chicken Soup for the Sports Fanís Soul, Stories for the Teenís Heart, Stories for the Manís Heart, and Intimate Moments with God. In addition, she has had articles published in Focus on the Family, Joyful Women, and Decision magazines, as well as on Crosswalk.com, Gospel.com, Homebodies on-line, and other Internet sites.
An inspiring radio and television guest, Jaynes has been interviewed on national programs produced by LeSea Broadcasting, Christian Television Network, Moody Broadcasting, Total Living Network, DayStar Television, North American Mission Board, and more.
Jaynes and her husband, Steve, reside in North Carolina. They are the parents of one son.
