Steve Chapman's Bio:
Steve and Annie Chapman are successful singers, songwriters, and recording artists who travel to more than one hundred cities annually, sharing a unique blend of music and storytelling that encourages and uplifts the family. Cofounders of S & A Family, Inc., the Chapmans speak at marriage seminars, retreats, and conferences where they incorporate biblical principles and lessons learned from 28 years of marriage and 26 years of parenting.
For five years, they have conducted marriage seminars at Billy Graham’s Training Center, The Cove, in North Carolina. Recently, they presented a marriage seminar at Jerry Falwell’s Thomas Road Baptist Church in Virginia that was broadcast live via satellite. They have also produced more than 25 music projects that feature songs about family life, including the theme song for Dr. James Dobson’s film series, “Turn Your Heart Toward Home.”
The Chapmans pinpoint communication obstacles and explore ways to build a fulfilling partnership of cooperation in their newest book, What Husbands & Wives Aren’t Telling Each Other. The two encourage a spirit of mutual submission as they teach couples how to recapture laughter, create trust and acceptance, and develop a mature love that will last a lifetime. Their fresh approach to husband-and-wife relationships is based on an informational survey of 500 couples that investigates how well couples communicate.
Together, the Chapmans have collaborated on five books: 10 Things I Want My Son to Know, 10 Things I Want My Daughter to Know, Married Lovers Married Friends, Gifts Your Kids Can’t Break, and Wednesday’s Prayer: A Father’s Guide to Praying and Fasting for His Children. Steve has written a number of outdoor books, such as A Look at Life from a Deerstand (over 100,000 copies sold) and What a Hunter Brings Home. Annie’s independent projects include A Woman’s Answer to Anger, Running On Empty and Looking for the Nearest Exit, and Smart Women Keep It Simple, which she co-authored with Maureen Rank.
The Chapmans are highly respected media guests who have been interviewed on many national TV and radio programs, including The 700 Club, 100 Huntley Street, The Harvest Show, At Home Live!, It’s a New Day, On Main Street, Focus on the Family, Decision Today, Parent Talk, and Prime Time America. They recently concluded a week-long stint on Dennis Rainey’s Family Life show. The Chapman’s ministry has also been the focus of reviews and articles featured in many magazines, including Charisma, Moody, Christianity Today, CCM, Today’s Christian Woman, and Decision.
Steve and Annie Chapman make their home in Nashville, Tennessee. They have two grown children, Nathan and Heidi, who are both married.
