Jan Winebrenner's Bio:
Jan Winebrenner is the founder of the Dallas Christian Writers Guild and co-founder of the Writers Roundtable Conferences. She is a frequent speaker and workshop leader for writer's groups and college and university writing classes. Mentoring and encouraging other writers is one of her passions, as is studying classic Christian literature.
Jan grew up in Northern Arizona, spending her teen years on the Navajo Indian Reservation where her parents were teachers. She attended Northern Arizona University and John Brown University, studying literature and education.
A freelance writer for 23 years, Jan is the author of seven books and has been published in numerous periodicals in markets as diverse as VIETNAM TODAY, LEADERSHIP, THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS, TODAY'S CHRISTIAN WOMAN, and DECISION. She wrote feature articles for a parenting magazine for two years before changing her focus to writing books.
Jan has lived in Plano, Texas, for 20 years, where she has taught Bible studies and actively participated in church ministries. She enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her two children, and is in constant pursuit of new book ideas that will glorify God and encourage the Body of Christ.
