Karen Kingsbury began the Redemption series with co-author Gary Smalley as a result of her writing’s impact on him: “Karen Kingsbury is my very favorite fiction author. There are more than 1.4 million copies of Karen Kingsbury’s titles in print, including her best-selling titles, Halfway to Forever, On Every Side, Moment of Weakness, and When Joy Came to Stay. She has been a finalist in the Romance Writers of America’s Rita competition for best inspirational fiction nationwide. One of her books was made into a CBS Movie of the Week. Her title A Time to Dance was selected as the first book in the Women of Faith fiction club.
In 2001, Karen and her husband adopted three first-grade boys from Haiti. The new additions have blended very well with their three biological children. Karen and her family live in Vancouver, Washington.
