Steve A. Merckx's Bio:
Steve Merckx grew up in Deptford, New Jersey, for the first thirty years of his life. Excelling in creative writing through high school, he acquired his first professional writing job on the sports staff at the Vineland Times Journal in the early 80’s. A crafted and artistic poet and songwriter, he continued to apply his writing skills composing songs through most of his twenties.
Steve moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1995, where he gained a deeper and more firm grasp on Scripture application and found his niche in Apologetics (defending the faith). Through leading various small groups and devotionals at church sponsored sporting events, he gained more skill at giving a more tangible approach to people who desired to know more about Christianity and God. It was during one of his Bible/Book studies on Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, that he fostered the idea for his first work.
Suspects is Steve’s first venture into the world of Christian publishing. A recent recipient of a Certificate of Apologetics from Biola University, Steve has continued his growth in the field of Apologetics and is currently working on his second project — Prophets and Kings. Steve currently lives in Frisco.
