Robin Jones Gunn's Bio:
Robin Jones Gunn is the bestselling, award-winning author of more than fifty-four books, with sales of close to 3 million copies worldwide.
Robin began writing for publication nineteen years ago when her children were young. Along with writing fourteen books for children, Robin wrote more than sixty articles and has contributed to a dozen nonfiction books. Her storytelling attention turned to writing novels for teens while she and her husband were involved in full-time youth ministry.
Her Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen series developed a strong base of readers. As those young women grew older, they wrote many letters to Robin asking for novels with older characters. The result was the eight-book Glenbrooke series, set in a fictional small town in Oregon. A gift book titled Tea at Glenbrooke completes this series of contemporary novels.
The mail continues to pour in at Robinís nest. Readers tell of making life-changing decisions after reading her books and express their delight in the way Robinís work portrays such realistic and appealing friendships between women. This feedback prompted Robin to write Sisterchicks on the Loose, the first of a collection of novels that focus on the unique way God uses close girlfriends to shape womenís lives.
Robin and Ross have been married for twenty-six years. They live near Portland, Oregon, where Ross is a counselor. They have two grown children, Ross IV and Rachel, and a lovable golden retriever named Hula. Robin wrote about her childrenís early years in a gift book called Mothering by Heart. Her latest gift book, Gentle Passages, celebrates the transition from girlhood to womanhood.
A frequent speaker at womenís events, Robin has challenged audiences from Hawaii to Helsinki with her captivating storytelling. Her love for life and her deep adoration for God shine through her words, whether spoken or written.
