The Man Who Makes A Difference

by Jim George

Review  |   Author Bio  |  Read an Excerpt

Motivational speaker, Bible teacher, and professional counselor, Jim George has focused on a topic close to his heart in his latest book, The Man Who Makes a Difference. Indeed, one thing a Christian man should strive for is to make a difference in his work, family, church, and community, and George provides a good tool to help that happen. Using ten keys (including prayer, obedience, purity, and service), George excitedly leads the reader through many obstacles and challenges that men face in life, giving advice, sharing anecdotes, and providing Scripture verses as guides. The book includes quotes from influential Christians, helpful prayers, Bible verses to live by, and even chapter-by-chapter study questions found at the back of the book.

Whereas George spends considerable time talking about (and even quoting) himself and uses exclamation points and italics in excess, this, nevertheless, is a great reference tool for new Christians and those wishing to renew their faith. This isnít heavy theology, but it is a good first step in learning how to live a life that is pleasing to God. Ė Matt Maine,

Book Jacket:

The Bible is filled with amazing people, and Paul stands out prominently among them. What made him so effective, so influential? In this book, author Jim George explores how Paul took Godís priorities for life and made them his own. The result? He had a significant impact on everyone around him. From Paul we can learn how toÖ

  • let Godís power work in and through us
  • acquire discernment for making right decisions and choices
  • pursue holiness that allows God to work through us unhindered
  • stay faithful to Godís calling all the way to the end

Because it is God who enables us, these qualities are accessible to every believer. Readers will experience true fulfillment as they take steps toward making a difference in the workplace, at home, at church, and in their community.
