Dragons or Dinosaurs

by Darek Isaacs

Review  |   Author Bio  |  Read an Excerpt   |  Interview

Dragons or Dinosaurs by Darek Isaacs offers a rich, thematic deconstruction of evolutionary and chronological arguments prevalent today. Though much of the evidence presented seems a bit circumstantial, the way Isaacs fluidly mixes it with verified facts makes the debate strong. It is like a proper ratio of mortar and bricks.

Fueled by powerful, well-thought arguments, the book delivers exactly what it promises, moreover in a tone bearing a slight edge of very witty humor—something rare in works of a scientific nature. The arguments are also linear, providing step-by-step exposure to the key points in a gradual fashion; it would surprise me if anyone became lost in this book, save for the appearance of the occasional scientific or otherwise unusual word.

While solid and well constructed, it’s possible the book may get criticized for aspects of the voice. To clarify, in instances where the author points out the inane stupidity of several outdated arguments, he does so with a noticeable edge—an edge that may seem a bit bigoted. Furthermore, when mentioning the failures of the church, the voice carries a subtle, almost cordial, respect. This serves to polarize, by exaggerating the effect. While this may be fine for a Christian, it may alienate a member of the general readership, a sad fact due to the strength of the overall arguments.

Despite this minor infraction, the book presents its material very well. In truth, the subject matter implies a staleness akin to the dinosaur bones of which it speaks, so this book’s freshness is a wonderful surprise. I, consequently, would recommend this to all persons interested in the subject matter and even many of those not. It is rare for an author to articulate such important information in an entertaining fashion, something Isaacs does quite well. – Matthew J. Mimnaugh,

Book Jacket:

Dragon legends are found in nearly every culture around the globe. They have been thought to be myths. Yet, mysteriously, these dragons sound a lot like the other giant scaled reptiles, dinosaurs. Could they be one and the same? Surprisingly enough, the answer to this question is a powerful truth that confirms biblical authority and demolishes the theory of evolution. This book brings forth many new theories and evidence that are sure to fascinate the reader.
