The 2010 re-release of Dave Ramsey's 2004 The Money Answer Book: Quick Answers for Your Everyday Financial Questions has a few updates, but it primarily is the same book issued six years ago. Like all Ramsey books, it underscores his mantras that all debt is bad, credit cards are evil, delayed gratification is paramount to success, reserve funds are vital, and keeping track of spending is a proper discipline. The book is excellent at walking readers through very pragmatic processes, such as showing how to check (for free) what the credit bureaus have on file about you and how to correct any errors. It also has fill-in-the-blank pages for setting up budgets, bullet point lists of worthy financial goals, and checklists for selecting various types of insurance policies.
As an ultra-conservative primer on financial management, The Money Answer Book succeeds. – Dr. Dennis E. Hensley, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
